Scrawnystiltskin here in Egypt by crikey! In downtown Cairo.....but off 1000 kms down sth today!
Went for a camel ride round the pyramids yesterday.....which was an adventure....but i got stooged...as it was a dodgy camel track by crikey!
They wanted to charge double...which i wouldn't & then told me to ride the camel by myself....if i didn't pay more!I almost was tempted to take off by myself....with Henry the camel & totally cut loose like a wild goose & get lost in chaos in the desert & just go for it!These days ya just got to go for it!Just joking!I gave em another 10 Egyptian pounds....& they took me over to the pyramids.....on a round about way!The friggin' camel rider's whip was freaking me out....as it was just missing my face!I think he was doing this...perhaps to give me the creeps?I ended up getting taken out of the area....& into the back streets of the local town & was left there...as i didn't want to pay more! When i got off the camel....i was half staggering as jumping up & down on the camel saddle....made it a bit sore....around the groin area.I'm still a bit sore now.The camel went for a few runs on the track....& the camel rider sure made him giddyup!Watching a camel get it's teeth brushed is an odd sight!
I ended up walking back up to the pyramids & was a bit cranky after a dodgy camel ride.....as i'm a skint weasel....& they stung a few frogskins out of my....gorblimey!Also i would of liked to spent more time on the pyramids!
I went into a pyramid & also sat inside the tomb box....which was cosmic!Crikey! My time is running out so i better hit the frog & toad.....so all the best!!!

Hey Rumpel! Go to Jordan. They are the nicest of all the arabs. Plain dealers. We did a command performance for the King, and also worked in a Hotel.

You could also go to Sudan, but it's a bit dodgy as there is a lot of chaos. Plus it's really hot. There are some nightclubs there to get gigs, and a huge camel market just outside Khartoum. which is wondrous to see

Forgot to mention. If you go to Jordan right now, take your winter woolies. You will probably have snow in Amman at this time. Don't forget to visit "the lost rose red city " of Petra. It's fabulous.

Crumbleforeskin the weasel haggler here....by golly gosh!
I'm a little air-headed at present as i smoked an apple sheeshah just before & i'm a gooOse....ninnyhammer who even felt like i was off my trolley the other day after one beer.Beer here is expensive as it's a Muslim country.....& you can get fined if you don't drink in the places where it's supposed to be sold.I saw some belly dancing in Cairo.....but the dancers were not really that discreet for Western viewers...but very discreet acording to Muslim viewers.I guess you could call a venue for belly dancing....almost the equivalent of a strip club!Well in some countries!I have to go so cheeers by crikey!
THe other day all these muslim girls sat next to me on the train & tried to jokingly chat me up!!!Quite a few guy were looking at me weirdly!Oh crikey.....i really felt like a friggin' wombatpossumweasel! <img src="graemlins/jester.gif" border="0" alt="[jester]" />

G'day Rumpel! Told you Petra would be great! In Damascus don't get lost in the Souk. If you have any money, buy some of the wonderful Damasc steel work to take home, But no knives- you may not get it on the plane. If you want to go to Israel, go there last, as they are kind of funny about people dodging back to Arab countries. Enjoy.

Rumpel, Check to see if the Hotel Commodore in Al Hamra district is still there. We performed there for two months and had a great time.
Also try to visit Baalbeck, the largest of all roman temples. And if you are not vegetarian, taste the dona (pronounced derna)
kebab, and also the chicken with garlic sauce. Yummy!

Have you been to Turkey? Fabulous, and being a Goose, you should feel right at home there.
