It sounds better the way he told it.

Lady Astor: "The right honourable gentleman is drunk."
Churchill: "The right honourable lady is ugly, in the morning I shall be sober."

Another famous quip between these two (and these were said publicly)

Lady Astor: "If you were my husband I would poison your tea."
Churchill: "If you were my wife, I would drink it."

                from beyond the grave

Grandpa used to think it was real funny to write little messages around the house, on the walls, behind picture frames, etc. Little juvenile poems and stuff. It was the entertainment for me, while visiting their house. Sit on the can and... "oh, what's this? A limerick!"
He was father to 9, and grandfather to... countless. I haven't even met the majority of my relatives, and wouldn't recognize half of the ones I have met.
My mom recently helped my Grandma move to a smaller place. She was cleaning out the basement and found a safe. Upon it was written in pencil,
"My beneficiary is Donald. The rest of you can just screw off!" ...his last words, from beyond the grave. how sweet.
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

if the bag is not removed, tea also gets bitter.

I am not a problem to be shot, kicked, exterminated, euthanised or sat on, but a reality to be lived with.

Me (and I have to live with myself.)
