alright kiddies ~ this flame war is getting very stupid. i think that thom tried to make a point while starting his 'faux flame war...' whatever the beef between ldr & peter & everyone else is... for cryin' out loud - why do you need to take your angst and anger out one each other on a public forum? why not flame each other via your private email addresses? don't y'all have anything better to do with your time? god knows ~ as compelled as i am to keep reading the soap opera here on this thread... all y'all have gone over the line here. really.

i was talking w/thom last nite regarding this and i told him i felt like just posting a big old 'shut the hell up!' to everyone! this is tiresome... really. jim? you want to step in here?

a couple of things:

ldr ~ i am saddened by your seeming anger and violent posts. when i first started posting on p.net - it seemed like you always had very constructive and interesting posts... what's your deal, man? i find it very interesting that your sig line used to read: 'TRUTH' and, suddenly it has changed to: 'the rules are - THERE ARE NO RULES.' a quote from 'fight club...' what are you trying to say about yourself? have you taken a step back and realised what image of yourself you're portraying on this forum to all those newbies floating around?

peter, et. al... i understand the need to defend yourselves from whatever attacks are being thrown at you. i do. but, it seems like you ALL are repeating the same things over and over again. ad nauseum. and, i can't help thinking that it might be a more effective defense to just not say anything to dignify what seem to be unjustified and unsubstantiated allegations. y'all know what and who you are... (i hope) and, i'm sure if there is any truth in ldr's posts... you know that and no one else does... (not saying that there is... but, you see the point?) it does not need to become an issue of the community.

lastly ~ i know several people from this forum personaly... i see some of them on a regular basis... i see some of them sporadically... some not in many years. where i do not perform my show with any regularity anymore, i've always thought of this forum as a lovely opportunity to keep up with people i care about & to discuss an art form i love (albeit do not practice much anymore...) i was so impressed when a short while ago (on a different thread) everyone laid down their swords (so to speak) and had a very interesting and compelling discussion about performing, technique and other information... it seemed to be a good example of what p.net should really be about.

that being said:
let's take off the gloves, boys... and, SHUT THE HELL UP!

back to the 'faux flame war...'

i recently posted an insulting comment about one mister thom britain... and, immediatly i got three emails from members of this forum asking me why i was 'slagging' poor thom so much on the p.net...

i would like to clear this up for y'all... thom is one of my very dearest friends... i see him every other day... anything that i may say against thom (dr. eric, too... and, by extention chance and frack...) is not meant seriously... i know them and they know me... and, i would never say anything nasty about any of them and mean it... thom is a wonderful performer & good person... he has helped me and performance style develop to new and odd heights over the past several months & despite the fact that he is a gangly bean poll who's humor is way too caucasian... i hold him in the highest regard.

oh - and, frack... if i am in town when you return to nola... i would love to go on a PLATONIC date w/you... as, i am sure that my evil writer boyfriend would not allow me to show my true feelings for you w/out crucifying you via his witty, sardonic and swift pen... i would love to accompany you to the finest mcd's (i'm thinking the one in mid-city... thom, any opinion?) and share a romantic, yet PLATONIC, fishwich meal with you, my dear freak...

and... pokie... damn skippy you'll be dazed and confused by my ample clevage... most men are. frack hasn't even seen it & he's already under my spell... right frack, my pierced pet?

Just in case you did not know also, I am very happy with my life and I do not have to take on board your oppions or others for that fact!
