Talking cicadas... years ago we were doing an outdoors festival in Peru, and we were on stage when suddenly a cloud of locusts flew in and all over us and our marionettes. We need both hands to work them, so we couldn't brush the locusts off. As you know, the show must go on, but it really was once of the worst times I've spent on stage. In my hair, down the front of my shirt, even one in my mouth as I spoke. Pure hell! Next time we unpacked our props at an indoor nightclub show lots of locusts flew out!

Gosh!I didn't know what i was in for when i was up in the highlands of Scotland quite some distance from where the LOch Ness Monster hangs out.....& there were all these little bugs swarming about & they would stick to you sometimes & then quickly take off leaving red spots as they left!
Watch out for the midgies!
JUst as bad as mosquitos i would say probably?I had little red spots all over my face!Their weird!

One year i got a little pissed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival as many performers kept shouting me free drinks...quicker than i was hoping for!I ended up sleeping in the artist's pass....beer garden section....& woke up the next morning.....parched under the sun....with ants all over me...all over my jester's costume!THe festival was all over when i woke up....as it was the last night of the festival!

Oh!That's write!Getting back to the subjest Martin mentioned a while ago....about..."what was your worst kid?",....."Oh crikey!I have a few stories there!"
I remember year's ago in Redfern in Sydney i was invited to perform at the Redfern kindergarten.....in my jester's getup & that & i made the whole classroom go completely nuts!The kids started throwing all my toys around the classroom & it was really out-of-control!The teacher didn't really know what to make of it.....& had to struggle really hard to get the things back into order again!
I didn't even try to set them off....they just wanted to jump into my trolley full of junk & throw everything all around the place!My squeaky frogs & all were getting thwon left right & centre!Jesus!I have no control!I can't even control the little ankle-biters!They're all over me!Even toddlers could have the power to turn my show into a friggin' disaster!I'm not so good at controlling situations i guess sometimes!Oh well....what the heck!The Show Must Go ON!

I couldn't believe it when i found an original Roger Ramjet t-shirt in an opshop(opportunity shop)in Oz yonks ago....& the lady let me have it for 5 cents!I had it for year's & year's & it really went through some shit by crikey!I lent it to a friend & he stacked his car into a dam....& flooded the car...but still rescued my Roger Ramjet t-shirt!I think it might even be in Broome....up in the North West Of Western Australia at the moment!It may even come back....for nostalgic...amusement!
