Does Scottbox have as much trouble with punctuation during his internal dialogue?

Punk Rock is definitely a British invention. Sure, Seattle refined it into Grunge but I was hoping to stick to purely US contributions to world culture.
All you other guys who are listing favourite individuals are missing the point. This is about generic contributions not details. Mind you some of the highways are great and I won't argue with Frank Zappa either.
Where is chance? Surely there is something he might like to add here.Every-one should watch their drawers!

Peter you ignorant slut, it all started in NY with the Ramones in 1976, a year before the Sex Pistols, The Clash, and all other British punks. Don't get me wrong, their music is still great, just second that’s all.Punk Rock is definitely a British invention.

It's not that odd, I think not too long ago we both agreed that you should practice correct fire safety.
Which brings me to another grand American invention.

Scot, really. Tofu, American?????? The Japanese may have an issue with that, but you're right about the internet, purely american and who would have thought the US Military could have come up with anything at all vaguely valuable to society.
Dr. Eric, I think sideshows had been around a long time before Chrissy Columbus even got out of nappies. The word itself may be american though.
On punk Rock.
Australian bands "Dave Warner from the Suburbs" and "The Saints" were labelled "punk rock" here in 1974.
BTW "the Ramones" do warrant special mention.Every-one should watch their drawers!

Peter: Blue Cheer was around in the late '60s, you lose.
On the sideshow tip, we're both right. There were many oddities going on, especially in the late 1800's, but tented circus popped up in America in the early 1900's, and shows that performed in their lots, which were the precursor to today's (and yesterday's) sideshow, slowly earned that name.
So far, I think the valuable lesson here today kiddies, is that America has spit out quite a few valuable things in it's short existence, and maybe we should put somebody in charge that doesn't seem so much like a brain-dead Hitler.Comment
