If you dug anything about the Rocketeer besides the music, I strongly recommend the original work by Dave Stevens. There are at least 2 "graphic novels" out. Gorgeous art and a really great 30's feel. Betty Page, Doc Savage, The Shadow...a cornucopia of coolness!
The music is from the film "The Rocketeer." I bought the soundtrack when I was a kid because I thought it was better than the movie. James Horner if I recall correctly...
His legs are in the pants. His upper body is in the shirt. The pants are a facade, with his real legs behind them. The front part of the shirt is a form. He is just leaning his upper body to the left of his lower body, that's why the upper and lower never lose contact.
I have no definative proof of any of this, it's just my surmise.
usually i have some idea of how they do the tricks but by the end of this video i had to watch it like 5 times to try and figure it out - i still am not quite sure.

It's like the Onion and the Colbert report got religion.
