    Street Savvy

    Are you Street Savvy?

    1) Name all of the original “Fly-By Night” Jugglers.
    2) Name all the members of the first juggling team to perform @
    Faneuil Hall in Boston.
    3) Who were the original entertainment coordinators@ both Pier 39?
in San Francisco and Faneuil Hall in Boston?
    4) Who first wrote the line “The average donation is 5 dollars!”?
    5) Who was the first partner of the street performer who named
himself after an Australian outlaw and what was the name of their act?
What did they change the name of their act to?
    6) Who was the first juggler to use a bowling ball in his act?
    Who did 5 bowling balls?
    7) What is the biggest hat (US or equivalent) ever made by a solo performer (not including $100.00 bill) and who made it?
Obviously this answer is subject to vicious rumors, speculation and braggadocio ... so any answer will be counted as correct if the performer who made it, admits it!
    8) Name the performer who got stabbed in Washington Sq. Park?
    9) Name the youngest performer (and his age) ever to do a solo
street act? (this performer must still be working)
    10) Give the real names of “Bounce the Clown” /“Cyrus P. Koski 111”
    H.P. Lovecraft, Waldo and Woodhead?
    11) Name the 3 acts that possess the full sized trophies of the
“People’s Choice” award given out in Halifax, N.S. .
    12) If Ray Jason is the “grandfather of street jugglers” who is
the “ grandfather of street magicians”?
    13) Name the tap dancer and the name of her group that fought
to keep the streets of San Francisco open in the late 70’s?
    14) Name the “Shakespeare Brothers”.
    15) Name the members of “Mountain Mime”.
    16) Give the full name of A. Whitney Brown’s dog.
    17) Who is “Neon from Now On”? And name his partner’s real and
    stage name.
    18) Who was Kit Summer’s first partner and what was the name of
    their act?
    19) Who first did the ”anybody got a lighter” gag... (followed by
    showing a bunch of them)?
    20) What was the original name of the original “Sean and Dave”?
    21) Who was the “Obscene Juggler”?
    22) What street performer turned festival producer owes more
money to other street performers than any other dickhead?
Extra point: Why are there only 22 questions?
Extra extra points: How many butterflies are on the “Butterfly Man”
    all the time!

Have to agree with Debbie, Robert, too USA-centric.
For example, who is the actor from the BBC's "The Bill" working Covent Garden?
      A couple of Australian ones;
Who is the incredibly famous housewife that started her/his perfomances on the streets of Melb. with exquisite one-off clowning shows?
Who was the guy that for 30 years wrote, in beautiful script, the single word "Eternity" on the streets in the hard places of Sydney throughout the depression and war years of the 1920-50's?
On another note, Who is "he who shall remain noseless" and who is the other despised producer with the same surname but from the other side of the planet?

Question 7 is ambiguous, my act can take up to 15 days and, if it qualifies as an act, I can tell you 2 people with better than my record. I don't really want to answer some of the questions because there are lots of people here who are sensative about their real names (LDR, chance, Prof).
As for question 9 I'm assuming you mean a full dedicated circle show and I can nominate some-one aged 11 that I saw repeatedly (92-93) and is still working. Would the answer to Q22 have the initials DS?

And, "Love" is, of course, the reason there are only 22 questions.

part answer to number 10: the real name of Waldo is Paul Burke.

You forgot to ask, what is the real name of Lucky Diamond Rich.

I do know the answer but I'll leave it for someone else to have a guess.

I thought I would throw out some more non-USA centric name based trivia.

What are the real names of:

          Peppe Mime
          Captain Keano
          Nick Nickolas
          Dr. Stewart
          Anthony Livingspace
          Dirty Fred
Skate Naked ( I can never keep straight which one is which )
          The Great Dave
          The Mighty Gareth
So Pathetic Gareth ( aka Soapy )

          and an easy one...

          Famous Bramwells.

and bonus points to anyone who knows my FULL name.

          Rex

I just remembered that I haven't got a clue what Gary Animal's real name is.

You are not allowed to answer Debbie.

              17) Neon from Now-on (Steve Mock - a.k.a. The Neon Clone) partnered with Dr Hot (Bill Galvin).

I have them on video a couple of times: Once at a clown festival in Vienna in the early 80s and once on the Paul Daniels Magic Show early to mid-80s.

The famous house-wife is Dame Edna Everidge (AKA ???), the cop on "The Bill" is Windsor (AKA ???) and the guy who believed in and earned "Eternity" during the depression was Arthur Stace.
LDR, Livingspace, Rex, and the Prof's real names can be found here if any-one cares to look hard enough, don't know about Garry's.
Alas, I can only think of 13 women doing solo circle shows but if the parameters included mimes, roving and other acts like "Friends of Moira" in "Sensible Shoes" marching in a Chalk Circle with the "Essendon Policewomen's Band" and the offshoots thereof, it could blow out a bit. Then again, I do live Aust. and miss a lot of stuff.
There are 2 "Thompson"s, only one has a nose.

Who was the pioneering juggler/unicyclist in Aust. who busked his way toward competing as a canoeist in the Moscow (boycotted) then LA Olympics (came 4th at LA)?
