To learn how cockroaches socialize, a research team from Free University of Brussels created tiny robots programmed to act like cockroaches, doused them with the proper pheromones, and set them free within crowds of cockroaches to see if they could influence behavior. While some of the robots coaxed real cockroaches to follow them into an unshaded area (away from a dark area that most normally prefer), nearly half of the robots, despite programming, fell under the "spell" of the real ones and headed for the darkness. I responded with,
"chaCHING!!!....... BOOYEAH!!"

She then advised me to use those exclamatories sparsely, as mere seasonings to my vocabulary.

I quickly concurred and then sprinkled a quiet "...booyeah" to the closing of our discourse.

Today I flew from Manchester NH to Baltimore MD, and of the 100 or so people on the flight, only 4 (including me) checked bags..... WTF!

Probably fallout from the fact that in the new terminal at Heathrow, they weren't allowing people to check baggage. Problems with the baggage delivery system. Lots of flights canceled, people not getting there bags, etc..

Hmm reminds me of a Monty Python Song now that I think about it.

"I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval they've got at Heathrow"

And what's with this whole heat thing? Something's wrong, man. This doesn't feel right. Where are the parkas? Where are the long johns? Where's the zamboni??

I totally forgot my birthday was coming up and that I'd be away at a fest during it, but my mother just came in from a trip to the bank and tossed me my present... $100, taken out entirely in fives, toonies and loonies, to seed my hat.
