American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is launching a new search, this time for the next big Las Vegas headliner.
NBC has picked up a new talent competish from "Idol" producer FremantleMedia North America and Cowell's Syco Television shingle. In the untitled show, TV auds will vote on which amateur performer is ready to be showcased in Sin City.
"This time we're looking for everything," Cowell said. "Personally, I hope to find the next Siegfried and Roy."
Project has already been sold in the U.K. to ITV, where the show will be called "Got Talent."
Peacock is expected to launch the show this summer. Project will encompass a wide variety of performers -- dancers, singers, standup comics, novelty acts -- who will be judged by a panel of celebs.
Beyond his "Idol" and music duties -- his S Records recently released the album "Ancora" by international opera group Il Divo -- Cowell is making a name for himself as a reality TV producer.
Cowell is serving as an exec producer on two more upcoming alternative series: ABC's "American Inventor" and Fox's "Duets.
