    This just in...

American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is launching a new search, this time for the next big Las Vegas headliner.
NBC has picked up a new talent competish from "Idol" producer FremantleMedia North America and Cowell's Syco Television shingle. In the untitled show, TV auds will vote on which amateur performer is ready to be showcased in Sin City.

"This time we're looking for everything," Cowell said. "Personally, I hope to find the next Siegfried and Roy."

Project has already been sold in the U.K. to ITV, where the show will be called "Got Talent."

Peacock is expected to launch the show this summer. Project will encompass a wide variety of performers -- dancers, singers, standup comics, novelty acts -- who will be judged by a panel of celebs.

Beyond his "Idol" and music duties -- his S Records recently released the album "Ancora" by international opera group Il Divo -- Cowell is making a name for himself as a reality TV producer.

Cowell is serving as an exec producer on two more upcoming alternative series: ABC's "American Inventor" and Fox's "Duets.

        be careful with this one...

For every one or two talents that Cowell promotes, he purposefully humiliates 1000's. This has the potential to do GREAT damage to you and your career.

I auditioned. It was great. The audition was at the magic castle. They had closed individuals at the castle and they will do more open auditions soon. I got to meet the president of the magic castle and it might have also acted as an audition to perform there.

I think the working title of the show is "America's Got Talent" I searched for it and couldn't find it on google.

Do you know if it's for solo acts only, or can a duo audition?

I'm sure duos can perform. there's the whole looking for the next S&R statement.

don't know if you're wrong yet. This show is one of his productions but he will not be a judge. I'm sure we'll get dumped on less than the singers as is usually the case in life.

                          I second that motion,
I would love to see one of us shut his hole. The only reason that show does well is cause of the ridicule from that man. I think Butterfly should do it, Maybe Gazzo ooops did I just use them in the same paragraph.
I would be amazing to see someone give him his own shit back at him. After all wasn't he responsible for the spice girls.
Good talent is hard to fake in mean find.l
If I was there man I would have a drink with you for sure.
Are street shows really the best cure for hangovers?
