Trying to find an iPod dock with remote

The sound guy at the place I performed tonight told me about an iPod dock with wireless remote that has terrific range and functionality.

He said it was called an iCue. Or iQue. Or iKyoo. Whatever the spelling, I can't find any reference to it.

Anyone know about what this thing is?

    Thanks.

    dont get it...
The one that I have found to be the best for ipod remote is the aerolink remote from engineered audio.
They have it designed for the new models of ipod including the smaller versions.

    It will run you 40$

my only reccomendation is have a few extra batteries for the remote handy in your prop case if you are using it heavily.

I managed to track down the iCue around 3:00 this morning. It looks like a lot more than I need, and at $899, definitely more than I can afford.

The Aerolink looks nice; I like that it has programmable functions. Thanks for the suggestion.

The iJet looked like a possibly good option, too.

Depends on the size you're looking for. I have a smaller iStation I think, and it didn't cost too much.

P.S. About finding your station, just browse the Best Buy website store or something. They usually have tons of selection.

Tyler, What Stephon is refering to is something you will not find in almost any store especially best buy.

He is referring to a virtual soundman which is a wireless RF remote for MD, Ipod, Cd Players etc, designed for stage performers to be able ot cue music.

The unit is quite expensive and is overkill for a lot of performers. I think it is a great system and if I start to exclusively do Huge Stages somewhere down the road I would probably invest in one. running price about 800$

I gave a much cheaper alternative of a wireless RF remote for ipod which has worked pretty well for me the past years. and it runs about 40$
also this model is not available in stores and you will need to order it directly online.

Ijet $10 Radio shack RF remote

I got an Ijet for $10 on sale from Radio shack, a few weeks ago.
It is RF (radio Frequency) remote for 4th generation Ipod and some other models. Cheap but it works.

                iJet & iPod Dock

I have an ABT iJet Wireless RF remote system and an iPod dock that I no longer need, as my iPod died recently and it will not work with the newer models (if and when I get one) It is just like new (only used a few times), and I still have all of the packaging and paperwork for it. If any one is interested in buying it, please contact me privately and I will be happy to fill you in on the details.
                Sincerely,
                Steve

                    iJet

I have a first generation iPod Nano and use an iJet wireless remote/FM transmitter. The remote works great and has excellent range. I bought the remote at www.theistore.com for $44.00. A remote is also made for the second generation iPod Nano for $54.00.

that digital ijet with lcd screen on the remote seems kinda cool to be able to see what track you are on.

I read this on about the 2-way, on another forum-

But the $100 ABT 2 Way IJet with LCD screen goes to sleep to preserve battery life, I spoke with ABT about changing that feature and they told me it wasn't possible. I actually called ABT about that problem and ended up speaking to their head tech describing the problem and the guy fixed it. But since the remote goes to sleep I don't recommend it.

                          iPod/iJet remote shut down

You can get around the iPod shutdown/sleep mode if you place a blank track where you want to pause your ipod for an extended period. Simply make the blank track longer than the period you need the pause. If you can not create a blank track, they are available on iTunes.

The iJet remote is "very" small. Buy small raised rubber tabs at RadioShack, you adhere the tabs over the primary remote buttons. This makes it easier to click without looking at the remote.

Velcro the remote to your wardrobe or velcro it to a belt clip.

That's really good advice, Kenny. Thank you.

                            Any here tried the Aerolink?

I am now using the aerolink and have for the past 4 months and it has worked great. The only thing to worry about is if someone else has one near you. They are all on the same frequency and their remote will interfere with yours.

I like the folks over at engineered audio, before aerolink there was the remote remote.

Yeah to Kenny, that is a good idea with the rubber bumpers.
