        Stirring the pot

I am sure glad that I am an entertainer and not an artist or actor, it helps me to avoid all these "performance technique" issues and the internal angst that goes along with them.

Personally, I find that if you are an interesting person, a "character" is not exactly necessary. However, martin never takes off his stilts or make-up, and Robert's ass is so boring, he had to tattoo his @?!@ on his head.

          Hrm.

          To each his own.

Dave, to answer your query, yes. Peter is different from Paddy The Clown, which is different from Doc Paddy. Peter handels the business end of things and can be pretty serious, but my 2 characters are a lot more of the Irish rambling, gambling devil may care drinker.

Peter is the only one that drinks, however.

              interesting

I sure hope these snide responses are these guys' web persona, cause I wouldn't want to watch an act like that.

My business persona is the same as the real me - hopefully less neurotic and more confident. I don't usually go into a character until right before I take the stage.

On the street - it's harder, cause there is no stage. I usually am myself until I decide to start my character, which is usually when I notice a few people watching or giving me attention.
