    if memory serves there is an article on balloon busking as a circle show, rather than as a balloon machine. Also check out the Balloon HQ website. Of course location is everything.

    About 10 years ago, at the Denver Buskers Festival, there was a circle act - balloon show that did well. His signature piece was a "Rocky Mountain Rainbow " butterfly. The wings were made of singular bubbles, all different colors. I can't remember the name of the technique, but it involved putting a bubble inside a bubble. Was quite impressive. He did have to explain that he was doing a Show, and not vending. He did get a pretty good hat as I recall. I would think the resturant work would get you leads for the Bday party and other business, so you might not want to give it up just yet. Good Luck and keep us posted on how it goes.
