Sad news in the world of street performing today Ronald " Ayan" Willams a Legandary Drummer on the New York City streets lost his fight with Cancer. Ronald Williams AKA Ayan was mostly known as the drummer for the Break dancers of New york City. Ayan began working the streets in the early 80's playing Drums for the New York City Float Committee, one of the first Break dance group to work the streets of New York. Ayan was also the man who mentore'd Larry Write the original 5 gallon bucket player seen on the movie Green card and with Ayan's help recieved The Buddy rich scholarship.

Ronald "Ayan" Williams was and always will be an inspiration to myself and many other street artists for years to come...

I met him and his lady in Key West a few years ago. Heck of a drummer and a real nice guy! Dr. Juice use to work some with him in NYC and sends his regards.
