Alan of The Ballet Hooligans passed away last Friday in London. One of the Great Clowns - Generous in spirit - He spent his later years as a Gardener - gone to soon.

The cremation for Alan will be Monday 10th sept 4pm breakspear crematorium, breakspear road Ruislip Middlesex ha4 7sj

The memorial to celebrate Alans life will be
on 3.pm tuesday 11th at St Pauls behind the covent garden pitch. The cost is £375 so donations to Mike Raffone would be appreciated.

The world has lost a wonderful man....

Blimey! I'm half asleep as i write....

but this is very disheartening stumbling across this
message suddenly, learning just now....a dear friend has just passed away.

I knew Alan for ten years or so.....we performed at various festivals in Europe. Always really enjoyed his warm personality, such a sweetheart and a pleasure to work with.
I remember at the Feldkirch Gaukler Festival in Austria, back in '98,' Alan saying to me before the event started 'you're going to win this busking prize i guarentee you!'
I said 'you've got to be joking!'
Oddly enough i did. I'll never forget the good laugh we had, looking at each other's noses, as the solid brass minstrel trophy had quite a beak too.

The memorial starts in just under an hour......most likely
this message won't be read in time......
but i'll surely be there in spirit with you folks.

Alan truly was a great man and a wonderfully funny performer.

Our hearts are with you Alan.
