Last week Fred"Rerun"Berry passed at age 52 in his California apartment. Most of us new Fred Berry from a famouse television sitcom in the 70's called "WHAT'S HAPPNING" Fred Berry played "Rerun" on the show. Fred was not only known for his acting but he was also a great dancer. Before he landed the role as "Rerun" on "WHAT'S HAPPNING" Fred Berry was a member of a popular dance group in the 70's called
"The Lockers" his street dance name was "Pinguin". Today in the streetdance community The Lockers are considered legends and so was Rerun. I had the honor of meeting Fred in 1992 at a streetdance conference in New York City and became good friends with him. I was inspired by Rerun in the 70's and learned alot about performing and life itself from Fred "Rerun" Berry AKA "Pinguin". He will truly be missed a great deal by me and the whole streetdance community our condolenses go out to his family.
