I can't see a lot of people being willing to buy Bitcoins in order to tip, and I'm not all that interested in receiving Bitcoins.

Meanwhile, someone who might have tipped you in cash at the show could see the sign and decide to tip you online later, but then run into the Bitcoin issue.
