I'm not sure that you realy need to be concerned about someone copying your idea for a huge mechanicly controled drum kit. Most people are going for small electronic drums these days.

Well, it's actually completely modular. It could be as small/large as you'd like it to be. Dunno how many people will wanna play full drum set and other instruments at the same time but it is very useful for acoustic drummers. It's capable of many things that are impossible for trap set drummers. For instance with one foot you can hit 6-10 pedals at the same time or you could just hook up one pedal to any number of percussion instruments or stringed instruments for that matter, the pedalboard can control parameters for your midi equipment in ways never before possible too. Oh, and it can also hook up to your drum machine/sampler and control your electronic drum patches or whatever in far more intuitive and complex ways than you would ever be capable of tapping on drum pads or keyboards with your fingers. The list goes on. I'm thinking the main market will be for guys who currently play trap set. With one foot you can play 50% of popular drum beats you'd normally hear on the radio (which you can do with just 8 pedals, which is a fraction of what I have and you can always add/subtract pedals at your leisure). Add in the other foot and a rack of drums above to play with some sticks and you're like 2 drummers in one, plus with the capabilities it has over the modern trap set possibilities are only limited to your imagination : ) Currently with this interface and a few others I've not yet released I can perform 7 different parts at the same time with out compromising the integrity of the music. I'll keep yall updated with videos as I release stuff. I've been at this for almost 3 years, finally getting to share a little bit! the legal system is a bitch.

newayz.... that guy from def lepard is gonna shit his pants lol
