Google Busking Map
We can add busking pitches to google maps by uploading a spreadsheet of locations. Let's edit a spreadsheet together with all the pitches we can think of.

Why?
We'll be able to google "Street Performers, Chicago, IL" and get a list of pitches. We can update the pitches' information by adding reviews to that search result. The "Specific Pitches" forum was getting really hard to use.

Google will treat the pitches like businesses. It could futurely be a way to promote street shows.

Figuring Out Addresses
coming up with an address is tricky. I search google maps for a business nearby, use that address to guess the pitch's address, then google search that address to make sure it shows up on the map.

Butterfly Man, I always admired you as the smart one of this blog. Your for sure the smartest one on spitting out descriptive adjectives a mile long on dog poop. You know I can't figure out that little icon message thing either! Is there any one out there that can help us out on such an obvious little computer thing?

Its a really good idea, Scott. There are a couple of places in CT I'm sure are off the radar. I'll hunt around for street #s.

Hmmm.... I couldnt work out how to do the whole spread sheet thing but i did create a map with two locations so far.
Any one can fill in more details.

Also check out the place mark for Circular Quay in Sydney in satalite mode you can actually see sombody doing a circle show.

hey scot,

counting on everyone to decipher a spreadsheet - even though it seems simple - is not going to end with good results. I added on a pitch to it - but other people are just going to get confused -

it's a great idea but I think it would work a lot better if you put together some sort of php form to add/edit locations.(if you need help with this let me know) should not be too hard. then buy a web domain - and there we go . you'll be the most visited website by performers EVER.
