Not that it concerns me personally but I have to say that those performers are complete wankers for shutting out other performers from sharing the space now and then.

    Jeep, you're on here.

      wanker

Had to look that one up in the urban dictionary.com. Sounds like some thing that Gazzo would do.

          avoidance

          that is pretty pedantic Jeep
Do you have any information to share on the situation in Keywest?
If I wanted to go to Keywest and perform there am I welcome? Or is it a closed pitch run by a bunch of wankers? That is the question....

Lee every one is always welcome to come and perform here. And it is always good and refreshing to see new faces and new acts, and old friends. If you've been to mallory square you know that we have limited space and we are only trying to rearange large and small act spaces so that every one has chance at a piece of the pie. Nothing at this writing is set in stone. Our guide lines were written in the early '80s when our event and space was some what new and smaller. The city has revamped and enlarged our space so that we now have a world class place to perform. We are only trying to move some of the very large acts around so that every one has a good place to perform. Come on down the weather's great on the party's still on. I hope this clears up the negative that crap that Todd edited in his post.

I'm the smallest, quietest act down here. No one loves me. All I do is stand alone all shiny with my bicycle off in the plaza, real still, until you gimme a dollar. THEN WATCH OUT! I'll robogitize 'ya!

Seriously, what's going on? I thought we had it worked out all ready?

The plaza is mostly empty and I don't see why we can't all just get along. Really!

                C-YA!

Robert aka silverman reread my last post please. If the pier manager doesn't give you a good spot of your choice when your number is called on the pier first or in the plaza second, tell me immedialty. I'll do what ever power that is invested in me
to see that you get get a spot! By the way if your going to run for the board of C.P.S. you sould at least come to a board meeting or a performers commitie meeting so you will know what we do here,if your going to repersent the performers and there free speach rights and want my vote in that position, you should at at least know whats going on and not be asking a blog these kind of questions! I hope this answers your post.

                    Fair enough.

Fair enough Jeep. I thought they would announce the elections and give us time to network a bit more. I know a number of the Vendors and all the Performers know who I am. I go to all the performers comittee meetings I hear of (or have since my return this year when I was available anyhow) so that I can be informed of what's going on.

With Smegley back the spot next to you is taken and I really don't want to work next to Will in Bill's spot. I'm actually more comfortable down in the plaza, or when Matt doesn't show over by the Memorial. Really, I am. My crowd can spread out a bit more and they don't block pier traffic or upset the Vendors.

Thanks for the advice. I'll catch the next board meeting and find out more about the elections. I'm sorry if you thought I was slacking off on my nomination (of ourself).

So everyone knows, I was kidding about the no one loves me part, and being alone in the plaza. I know how much you all adore my shiny robo being.

                    See you at Sunset!

                    Thanks!

                      Elections

The general membership meeting and elections is about the second week of December.I forget the exact date but it is posted in the key house. I believe it is to be held at the Gato building. Check time.

                          Key West AKA Wankers world!!!

I Agree with Gav most of them are Wankers I know a couple of performers that work Mallory Square we shared pitches back in the day in New York City even some of them became Wankers over the years.
Pier 60 Clearwater Florida is the sh** you will never get turned down, you may not get as many shows in as the regulars but you will be able to work.

                              Well then.

For the record I'm no "wanker", unless of course you are refering to my gender. I have a "wanker". I usually call it something else though. Now and then Fred, here and there Albert. Anyhow, I have welcomed any and all to come on down to perform. Invited some here and there on the web. I would prefer you don't do silver of course, but you know gold or copper would work fine. While I don't break dance anymore I am rather adept at popping and locking. That's 'cause I used to do all that back in the eighties when, you know, it was in style. Mostly all I do now is robo in silver.

I think we should all stop and consider how professional we are and go from there. Name calling and insults don't look very professional to the crowd, and we are after all trying to entertain the crowd, not one another. A lack of professionalism reflects back toward the crowd and makes us all look bad. Even if it is only one or two among us that is being non-professional.

I would urge everyone to stop with the name calling, and be gratefull for the World Class arena we have to operate in here at the Sunset Celebration. Mallory Square is rather large, and somehow maybe we can find a way to accomodate everyone. I think so anyway.

Season is just around the corner and everyone will want to make good money. We should remember that before the money is ours the crowd is gonna want to have fun. Once they feel they had a good time, then we make ours. Back stabbing and name calling won't make anything fun because the crowd can tell when there is anymosity among us there. I've seen it, heard it, and had less as a result of it. Even though I was never part of it.

Like I said before. Let's all try to get along and have a good season. There's more for everyone that way. Right?

                              Peace!
