    Oddly warm

    sunny 7-14 degrees celcius

should be -5 and covered in snow.

the trees are starting to bud, they think it's spring, and the bears can't get to sleep and are a little cranky.

That's sort of scary, there was one day last month when it was the same temp in London and Paris, as it was in Melbourne.
When the cold stuff that has hit London reaches you (tomorrow night???) it will kill all the buds on the trees.

It's eased up a bit here, down to 26 with light rain. Thousands of volunteer and pro fire-fighters ar praying for more of the same.

When I saw that western weather on the news and felt the wind picking up yesterday I thought I'd be in for a cold 7.30 walk to school today.
Imagine my surpise when I looked at the thermometer and it said 10C !!
It will be 17C in the shade by 2pm.

I should start working again, except I seem to have an automatic cut off switch after october.
Can't seem to turn myself back on untill april.

was going to tell weather tale but DAMN!

Well, i was going to write about my weather stuff but after reading about the 120 farenheit hells im a wimp. busked for an art hop (translation.people walking, people drinking....people gawking)
it was early april i think. started show, not snowing.....go for finale with torches (wooden handles) starts snowing. torch goes up fumbles drops into open prop case. tell crowd "no wait, that was planned". only other "Jaws" moment, renny faire 95 f in direct sun with fire. But shit that pales after reading dantes street performers review before writing this.
            I bow to you all.

I was in NYC and it was pooring rain. Myself and about 20 others (mostly joggers) were huddled under a bridge. I did two songs on the one man band before the path flooded.

Got to do yo-yo demos outdoors at the Winter X Games one year.

4+ feet of snow, a few degrees below zero.

The lube in our ball-bearings kept freezing...so we would demo for about 10 minutes, switching yo-yos about every minute and a half. Kept backups in our pockets with those pocket-warmer things. Once everything we had was frozen, we went inside, warmed 'em up by the fire, and started over.

Yo-yoing with gloves on really sucks.

Glyn Hanton and I passed clubs in the snow in Jenario Gora in Poland a couple of weeks back, mainly to pose for some video.

Interestingly the Poles just ignored us. Also, everytime we dropped the clubs disappeared under several inches of quality fluffy stuff and when we dug them out, not only were our hands freezing but the clubs were really really slippery...

Not as extreme as some of your stories, but interesting to us.
