How to learn rope escapes...
1. Get a length of rope 20mtrs+, ask some friends to tie you up,,,then escape.
2.Do this a few times then ask some sailors to tie you up,,,then escape (this may take a bit llonger).
3.Go out, get a crowd ask a couple of burly blokes to tie up up,,,,then escape.

I believe Houdini wrote a book called "Magicial Knots and Ties". I don't know if that would be of any value to you. The only real secret is to use a lot of rope, puff your chest up and hunch your sholders when being tied so you will have slack, and use a soft hollow rope.

japanese street performer pepper zero performes a
rope/straight jacket escape...hes a good guy and very talented performer. cant find a contact at the moment..i have it somewhere. when i find it i'll send it off to ya....
