as far as I know there hasn't been a thread bout him on the first page of here for a while, you probarly just imagined it, cuz youre losing it, its all that talking to yourself that you do
I didn't read any provocation in the post although others might. Rather, I saw it as an almost desperate attempt by an old friend to try and make sense of and perhaps try to salvage something from what appears to be a very sad situation indeed.
That said, I also thought the post was way too personal and may have caused a great deal of distress to the subject, his family and friends.
Whilst not entirely irrelevent and certainly not offensive, I thought the post infringed on the privacy of the subject and his family and as such it was appropriate of Jim to remove it.

Yes, Peter, I felt it was a bit too personal and really had no reason to be here. I emailed the poster (who basically registered here anonymously and only posted 4 times... all antagonizing or stirring the pot with Trevor) and he did not respond.
From the tone of the message, I felt the person posting had some sort of axe to grind and decided to do it here feigning concern for Trevor. "Oh I hope Trevor is doing alright because no one has heard from him... by the way, when he was around he did this to me and that to me and blah blah blah..." My bullshit detector went right off.
I didn't ban him or anything. I just deleted the post and emailed him privately. If he cares to respond and explain himself, I'll gladly hear him out. I have a feeling he won't be back, though.
Jim
P.S. I have not heard from Mr. Rooney in a long time. If some of the stuff this person stated in his post is at all true, I sincerely hope Trevor is OK.
Ah, Jim, you've rescued us from ourselves once again. I missed the thread, but, like a random panda in green coveralls, it will doubtless return, in an altogether different form.
