"I would simply send a "thank you" card and a bottle of something over to the decision maker "

    That's a good idea.

Paths are always crossing in this industry. You might be working under someone who, a year later, might be working for you. I really love that about it, and it makes integrity ever more important.

They weren't as hard on me as they could have been. I think they were feeling out whether I was just a jerk, or had a genuine case. ...hense the bits of tears working to my advantage.
I have a feeling flash series places get this sort of treatment a lot.

I think I will send them something. Good idea.
(And I'll make them a contruction paper valentine's heart, with paper doilies, yarn, and rotini noodles)

Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.

      Back to the REAL job

After not doing much of anything other than the odd show every couple or three weeks since august its time to go back to work.
I'll be away this weekend then home for Thanksgiving and then gone again until June.
I still love doing the shows. Nothing will ever come close to being as rewarding and fun as doing a show. But in a way I certainly do envy the 9 to 5ers.
Every evening in your own home. Every morning a cup of your wife's coffee. Your adolescent children ignoring you from across the room instead of over the phone from half-way around the globe.
Of course I know many 9 to 5ers that envy my globetrotting life.
      The grass is always greener.
Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to work I go.

I'm thinking a PT job at the video store for me this winter. It will be hard for me to put movies away in their proper place due to my Dyslexia, but that's okay.

With the cold weather setting in, I am finding myself missing the street.

the other gigs are paying the bills but the energy of the street performance isn't the same thing as an indoor paid gig.

Practice, rehearse and stare at the calendar...

            ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
