I've just takewn an 18 month contract with a trad circus to avoid the rot of doing too many streat shows. What else can you do when you get sick of the street, your show starts to suffer, you put in new rutines and it keeps it fresh for a while but prety soon you find it's the street it's self your over. Any tips for keeping it alive.

Seems to me the contract will do the trick for you. The income security and rountine of being part of a team can be restful and refreshing. After 18 months though the street may again be an exciting alternative to the "grind".
Good Luck

Circus Royal. It's the same family that owns silvers which is the one that had that celebrity show. Pete, if your in Melbourne give us a call and I can put you Bev and Larry on the door. How is Larry? Have I got the right Pete?

Ya, you got the right guy.
Bev's great, Larry's great, his birthday next week. I'll send a private message with a number, you gotta come over for dinner. I'd love to come and do some sketching around the circus if I can one-day.Every-one should watch their drawers!

*blush* - thanks Sam... I should really have added a ;-) to my last post... lol
I agree with Peter too... In fact, probably any change of pace/style/genre/location (or perhaps lack of change of location), would help.
Working in a different context is probably a good idea... If the Circus isn't different enough, you may need to step even further away from where you are right now.
Hope you soon find what you've lost... it was a pleasure working with you in Wellington this year...
