    ?'s regarding buskercentral.com

anyone here know anything about this site buskercentral.com?
The site owner mentioned it in a forum i'm a member of and didn't really come off as forthright or veracious. Not that he seemed to be particularly dubious, but his statements just didn't ring right. Maybe he isn't the best talker person with the word making.

He also seemed to really not like this place.

Anyone have a skinny for us in the other community about the site or the people running it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Soggy

Abandon hope all ye who enter...

Buskercentral.com is a mess of a website. It's gaudy, confusing, poorly written and not very informative. It has many spelling & syntax problems, and much of the writing is pretentious or just plain dumb. It's amusing for a short visit, but I won't return.

I did some websleuthing on the guy,
he runs alot of weird dodgy sites,
and seems to be oriented towards trying to build sites and then resell them to someone else,
but I couldnt get a straight answer out of him.

You can veiw the thread here
Hey - There's the largest site dedicated to buskers - street performers at http://www.BuskerCentral.com with tons of pics and even videos. Check it out...You may learn something.

I thought maybe he was a disgruntled ex forum member from here trying to make an alternative site,
but it really doesn't seem like it now.

Innerestin. I went and had a click tour of the site to see what there was to see. The most egregious think I found (aside from the affrontery of the garish button designs) is that this page:

lists something called "Performing Links" which pulls up p.net's own "Performing Links" page.

Now, that's not to say that there aren't plenty of sites that link to p.net out there in the interverse, but it seems bad manners to pass off someone else's hard work and helpful information as if it were your own.

Hi Lynneski...went to the links page at this site, and it lists the links as other peoples web sites...pretty standard link, new window, says p.net at the top.....
as for the buttons, that's a matter of taste, or lack thereof... you might be surprised that some people actually like that garish look.....
too bad if the owner doesn't like p.net...let him start his own site........

The whole site is a shallow pool, so far. Jim, does he have permission to link to you that way? I suppose it would just drive traffic here, but it does look like a complete ripoff. He didn't even bother to cut and paste your links.
