This summer marks my fourth year at one, two weekends, great fees, fun shows.

I got my first gig off p.net from the old boards about '98 and it was a beauty (2 weeks for 3-4 artists with seriously effective workshops, front pages, TV, and very adequate fees). It ran for 3 years until the guys we taught took over.

Shortly after the new forums came up, I dropped a hint that Chalk Circle was planning to tour Canada in 2001.
We got the gigs we needed to make the tour work within 4 weeks. It was a stark contrast to the letters, phone calls and all other shit I had to go through to build our first tour in 1992.

Bev and Ulla's first tour of Japan also came directly through p.net, albeit behind the scenes.

If you count all the artists that have worked with us, I'd say the gigs we've got through this site over the last 7 years have been worth well in excess $100,000. If spin-off's count (and money ain't everything), the afore-mentioned figure does not give any real indication of the true value.
