    square eyes 2005 (TV)

the sun is shining, the snow is melting for the last time and the winter blah's are on the way out ( hopefully )

now i like t.v. this is no secret... always have liked t.v. but when the season is busy i dont watch it.. and in the winter i tend to watch alot... sometimes i'll even watch stuff i generally wouldn't give a chance..

so i was wondering what you guys might watch ...

    my short list

    deadwood
    dead like me
    carnivale
    csi - m - ny
    law n order - ci - svu - tbj
    survivor palau
    jeremiah
    the batman
    teen titans
    huff

and then there are the shows that sort of wormed themselves into my life ( old repeat shows )

    MI5
    seven days
    that 70's show
    m*a*s*h*

now i'm sure there are those who say " i don't watch t.v."
but i know there are people out there watching..

    so whats on the tube?

      SCIFI!

Babylon 5 - I have all five seasons and the movies. My FAVORITE.
MI5 - Just got the second season on DVD.
Star Trek Enterprise - Jonathan Archer is my hero.
Star Trek Voyager - Not bad, some good eps.

      Those are my faves.

          Boston Legal

          Antiques Roadshow

and, i'm quite ashamed to say:

          America's Next Top Model
          American Idol
          and,
          Elimidate

while i love tv - i actually have little time for tv, plus i don't have cable - so i can't see the shows i really like.

            B5!!!!!

i haven't watched since "space" stopped running it...

one of my favorite all time t.v. episodes was in season 5 when the captain was being tortured by the nerd with the glasses and the sandwich...

plus garabaldi kicked ass... even evil garabaldi ....

then again i like the torture episodes of most sci fi .

            picard and the kardasian
the cylon and starbuck on the new battlestar galactica.

speaking of which , the new battlestar galactica didn't make my list.. but it should..
excellent cast, nice writing, good special effects lots of fun and kind of funny

same with firefly ( dead now... sigh) ....
and somehow stargate not only continues but gets a spinoff...
            i dunno ..
i was hoping for more from enterprise... but there were some nice episodes... all the star treks had some good episodes.. but the problem is the theme ran too long and was too caught up with itself...

i just wish geordi got laid ...

Firstly, addressing Enterprise, Magrat, I apologize for the fact good sci-fi is unappreciated by you.

Ivan- Our kinship has deepened because of your attraction to Babylon 5. Next festival we're at, I'll bring 'em and we can watch. I RARELY cry at television or movies, but the final episode where Babylon 5 gets decomissioned and Sheridan flies out to the rim to die in his White Star was quite possibly the saddest thing I have ever seen.

I have 'em ALL. And I watch them a lot. They're so so good, even the movies. No one else to date has woven such a story as J. Michael Stracynzki did. Awesome to know there's some other Babylonians on P.net.

"Our kinship has deepened because of your attrition to Babylon 5"

I don't think attrition was the word you were looking for.

I'm a big fan of "Real Time with Bill Mahr." It's the best !@#?ing show on television.

Carnivale and Six Feet Under are both great.

                MXC and Iron Chef

Alot of the History Channel and BET Jazz

                and of course
                The Simpsons
                Family Guy
                and Futurama

Sorry- Drove from CT up to Mid-Canada in the past few hours, still a little aloof.

Thanks for the note, Dr. Eric, "attraction" is what I meant to type.

And yeah, MXC and Family Guy are friggin' hilarious.

                      WHO DOESN'T LOVE FAMILY GUY?

i forgot those... though i don't care as much for futurama. but, simpsons is a classic standby & family guy is friggin' hilarious.

what's up with the new episodes? i heard a ton about that a month or two ago -- now nothing. they were showing f.g. reruns on fox... did they cancel it again?

                      bah.

                          Tele

Deadwood and Carnivale are spectacular. I also fancy Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Nip/Tuck (I know the show is ridiculous, but that's kinda why I like it)

I love the daily show and the chapelle show, but I never get around to watching them.
                            I do catch:
                            arrested development
                            desperate housewives
the simpsons (but the new episodes arn't funny)

I do really like TV, but I had to cancel the cable because I literally never watch it. When I called to downgrade to basic the lady asked me what I did watch, so i told her honestly. She refunded me money I had already paid.
btw, you can have basic cable and digital cable without the expanded basic. it's like $10 instead of $60, you get all the extra digital chanels, pay per view, and on demand featurs. Now if only I could pay just a couple extra $ for comedy central.

                              Law & Order

I've been watching the original "Law & Order" so long - since 1994 - that I even love the bad episodes. And there have been plenty of those.

I cried when Jerry Orbach died, I laughed when Serena came out of the closet, and I'm waiting for Angie Harmon and Steve Hill to come back for at least a cameo. I hope it never ends.
