    Talent??

Does anyone know if you have to have a natural given talent with coordination to become a Top level juggler.

    (Insert inspirational stories here)

No. A good book, or renting an instructional video, will take the place of talent any day. Most top level jugglers just sort of have it happen to them, like acne, or athlete's foot. It's more a matter of random chance, and the genetic electoral college, than talent. It helps to be Russian, of course, and there's a lot to be said for having a sidekick.

What a stupid question. (yes there IS such a thing as a stupid question).

I did notice, orestas1123, that you were NOT at the MIT juggling club today after you pummelled me with questions about mill's mess. If you want to be a top level juggler, then the first step is to actually show up.

The Boston University club meets this thursday. Hope to see you there.

          Juggling clubs

I remember an earlier post of yours that you mentioned being afraid of college juggling clubs or what not...thinking that these juggling clubs held at colleges are for college students.

This is not true, the MIT club especially is just held in the corriders of the school and is open to anyone. Just walk down the infinite corrider and stop when you see jugglers.

Everyone is super friendly...except maybe Sirus....but he is just unfriendly on the surface, and who knows maybe you can become his next prodigy.

Just go and practice and hang out with other people who will inspire you...these clubs are filled with amazing jugglers, both hobby and pros. There are a good number of math people juggling, and they can juggle amazing numbers...I guess because they use formulas to figure out logistics and can keep many many many things in the air at once.

90% is just showing up...listen to Etienne.

"You get to be a top level juggler the same way you get to Carnegie Hall", a top level juggler once told me. So the answer is easy! Just go to mapquest.com, click on driving directions, enter the address you'll be leaving from, then enter Carnegie Hall, New York, NY as the address you'll be going to and BAM, you will know the secret to becoming a top level juggler.

              Glad I could help.

Or you could just be bloody pushy, have a big mouth and convince all those around you that while you aren't a top level juggler you are a top level entertainer.

                It works for me.

I've just come back and reread my post in this thread and I'm impressed.
Never before have I ever been able to put the 3 words, juggler, talent and chance, together in one sentence with such eloquence and grace.
                  I feel strangely humbled.

There are two words for people who manage to humble themselves: Jackson & Micheal.

                    I'm taking the latter.

wow, your first flame on Pnet! You should be proud of yourself, you're now one of the club.

If you didn't give a toss, then why did you bother responding?

Here's a smiley for you, since you're so fond of them:
