    SMALL WORLD

i know frisbee... isn't it strange when you run into someone in a legitimate context who is on the p.net?

and, dude! if i wanted to play six degrees of scot neary - i would have it down to one or two moves...

sam shaw/shaun landry of the san francisco improv co-op who took over scot's tuseday night slot at the climate theatre and put a show in there which i am a regular improviser in.

    OR... IN ONE MOVE:

    david hunt is my roommate.

there are other oddities of proximity i've recently discovered in san francisco... when did dr. eric change his name, anyhow?

but - this is all most likely amusing to little old me, alone... and, i am doped up on allergy medications. so nite-nite... i'm off singing myself to sleep with melodic strains of "it's a small world after all."

    will smith's greatest film

The way I hear it, Eric changed his name about 3 years ago because of a near death misunderstanding involving someone else suspected of a small casino robbery.

You're one degree from spelling my name right too.

I met you in New Orleans.

I've found that when I meat someone from the online, I have an overwelming urge to not be near them. I would probably hang a little with Lurch, or martin, or nick n.

      Actually...

I changed it in a hallucinogenic mushroom fit, agonizing over an outstanding debt to a large, Italian cobbler. Leather soles have gotten !@#?ing ridiculous...

Maybe it's guilt that causes you to shy away from your internet "friends", scot. How many people do you "meat" online, anyway?

I meat up with people in all sorts of unlikely places, but I just chalk it up to statistics: I go through an awful lot of friends. More than socks. Then again, I've never run into any of my lost socks at a rest stop in Ogalalla, Nebraska... maybe it IS a small world after all.

I think it's the real world and the digital world clashing, my brain can't handle it. Same thing when people say, "Hey, I saw your website." I don't know what to say that wouldn't turn into, "Yeah, I'm still working on the mysql backend. My queries were returning really unexpected results and when I fetch an array, I get errors. I put numerous calls to connect to the database, I just can't figure it out."

PS: I usually figure out errors like this pretty quickly now. I'm having problems understanding complex queries, but everything can usually be solved with extra lines of code.

Uh, incorrect thread for any hardcore geekery but...

"but everything can usually be solved with extra lines of code"

That there's microsoft company policy, m'boy.
