does anybody know if there is bio diesel in the U.S.
we have it here in europe, it's made from some kinda plant, and it's cheaper than normal diesel.
You can even make it in your backyard.
Definately the way to go.
A friend of mine drives a VW van that runs on bio-diesel. He gets used oil from the Thai restaurant for free and has a converter. I love when he drives by, his exhaust smells like phad thai.
My nephew, a poor, but struggling inventor in upstate New York, converted his VW Rabbit to bidoesel. He lives in a cold climate, so he starts the car on regular diesel, runs the coolant thru a tank of french-fry oil until it liquifies, then switches over.
No conversion necessary, but he does filter the grease thru a sub-micron filter to keep his injectors from clogging (they would also do line dances if he allowed them to).
He has driven coast to coast (to visit his girl friend), by stopping at McDonalds and talking the manager out of waste oil. He gets about 35 miles to the Big Mac.
I would love to get that done. If only I had the cash.
For a start I would have it control my sound system wirelessly during my show. Think how quickly you could trigger sound effects and music cues.
I'm thinking of the day everyone has one and we can hack in to them and play them a DVD recorded live and then just suggest they put all of their cash in the hat.
