          I vote by mail

I checked out that casualty site. As long as Morley isn't on it, it's okay. I may not like him very much, but I wouldn't wish death on anyone ... except my mother.

And on a totally unrelated note: My neighbor put out a Kerry/Edwards sign on his lawn as I was cleaning up a "ton o' needles" on our sidwalks from another neighbor's tree and gearing up for Halloween. I gave my neighbor a funny look. He stood there looing from my face to his sign over and over again. He finally asked "Is there something wrong with it? Did I put it in a bad spot? What?"

I replied "That's the strangest Halloween decoration I've see yet."

My parents- who both voted Bush in 2000 have a Kerry sign on their lawn. This is a huge surprise to me, because they are hardcore catholics (anti-abortion, pro death penalty, pro gun, etc), they even saw the Pope "in concert" and bought T shirts.

I barely said a WORD to them about politics, figuring it would probably just drive them further down the Bush path. If two ding-dongs like my parents can see the light than anything is possible!

My mother, in her early 50s, voted for the first time in her life. My dad is starting to lean tword the right in his old age. I lent him Faren. 9/11 and made him promise me he would watch it before tomorrow, that should fix that.

My Grandfather, at 77 will be voting for a Democrat for the first time in his life when he votes for John Kerry. And his father was friends with Gerald Ford. So, yes many Republicans have seen the light- at least where Bush is concerned. Hey, even the Pope was against the war.

P.S. - So Dave can't even juggle five. Well that explains it!

                  interesting

Daily Kos is a progressive news site that fights for democracy by giving our audience information and resources to win elections and impact government. Our coverage is assiduously factual, ethical, and unapologetically liberal. We amplify what we think is important, with the proper context — not just what is happening, but how it’s happening and why people should care. We give you news you can do something about.

                  um...well... its crashed now.
But it was outlining that exit polls in florida (where they have been voting for a week) had seen round 10% advantage to kerry.
And also an article about republican canvassers who, armed with cross referencing lists, (NRA membership and others) are doorknocking on what were supposed to be traditionally staunchly republican doors only to find disenchantment, dissappointment frustration and really loud checked clothing within (ok ok the last bits bullshit..OR IS IT?) and also a commitment to vote against president Czar Czar Stupedo
But its early days yet, expect a Martian invasion round noon, or a giant, bulletproof, flesh eating turkey crushing buildings and throwing broken bleeding bodies onto the roof of the whitehouse live at newshour

                    limey asshole

                    Right.

I am a limey Assshole. I have kept my big mouth shut all through this debate. I have an opinion but nobody here gives a fuck about that and I can't find an ironic point of view.

I cannot begin to describe how much it hurt to excercise my restraint.

However. This election is important, which is why I have honoured it by not winding anybody up.

Oh and 40% of Europeans do not vote for neo fascists like Le Penn. It's more like 11% (although that's scary enough) and half of those aren't actually racist - just stupid.

The fundamental flaw with democracy is that people like me are allowed to vote along with Dr Eric and Woofnah (the pseudo vampiracal moroness who desperately tries to be sexily scary.) I think that Martin should be declared world president so we can all get on with it while he experiments with hard alcohol and heavy literature.

                      Jesus Jester,

Why the personal attacks, to Woofnah, of all people? Maybe she doesn't measure up to your lofty standards of intelligence, sex appeal, and vampirism, but at least she isn't mean.

So you have an opinion, great. You are perfectly welcome to state it, but you could at least be CIVIL about it. (I can't believe I'm telling a Brit to have some manners).

Why do you assume that Woofnah can't hold her own and take a little bit of well deserved mockery?

I'm sure she will bite back in her own time.

Not a personal attack, more of a jibe. Not kissing Martins ass, I think you'll find I was having a dig at him too.

However, I do apologise for mentioning her alongside Dr Eric. That wasn't very fair on Dr Eric.

Besides Mr Le Pire, pots, Kettles and Black. Remember the first time we had a little spat, which started with you having a go at someone. You love it. I love it. Even Dr Eric Loves it. Now go out and mobilise those votes before the polling station closes.

                        Jonathan the Jester.

Yeah and unlike you I learned something from it-- I didn't intend to "have a go at someone" just make a flip remark. I didn't put a so it was misinterpreted. Then you jumped all over me because you came looking for a fight. You soon apologized and became my "friend" and asked me to help you redo your website.

                          Whatever Jonathan.

If you want to talk politics, fine that's what this thread is for. Otherwise, please go back to your "heavy thread" and get your ass kicked by Eric (again).

also worth a clickthrough to 'when evil meets stupid' just for the paragraph about the hotel room beforehand

                                better late than never

Unlike you, my love, I don't have to try. That's just the way I am.

And I am so going to take parts of that out of context for my "Quotes" page.
