      Freebie?

If you check out the Monthly Events link, you'll see that they have only unpaid acts (cloggers etc.) who perform free so they can sign up new members.

Personally I think it would be unfair to performers trying to make a professional living if anyone would go there and busk. This outfit could afford to pay you well, just like the Easton Center in Columbus Ohio. These complexes always have a Merchants' Association whose members dub in money to put on special Events, so the money to pay you is definitely available.

Big difference also- if you go to busk, they'll treat you as a throwaway, and you may be unlucky with the weather, so hats will be small. If you are a paid entertainer they'll spend money on your setup and presentation to make you look great, you'll get useful advertising (newspaper and maybe even TV news video you can use), plus you get paid rain or shine.

Don't get me wrong- I have nothing against busking, but it should be on the street where it belongs.

Don't do them a favor by providing them with free entertainment. Do yourself a favor by moving up to professional enterainer level.

oh, don't worry, they aren't getting anything for free. he even asked about my fees in his message.

and I've heard from a couple people that the place doesn't get much traffic.

I'm not really sure what he wants, I called and tried to ask today but he was busy on the other line and hasn't called me back....

I probably won't be in town for whatever it is he does want (heading back to mass for foodplay), so I'll post the gig on the forums.

        thanks--EvAN--

I used to live in Golden. Heritage Square may LOOK cool, but is always pretty dead. They have some sort of dinner theatre there that gets a pretty good crowd, but other than that, I bet it'll be a tough gig. To be fair, I haven't been there in a couple years, but it would have had to change dramatically for me to think it'd be a good gig. Good luck, though.

Oh yeah, they do have a pretty fun alpine slide.
