      I thought you should know.

Tell me what data you want, how you want it delivered, and your budget.

yer not missin much, Blaines monotonous approach to street magc leaves the show feeling stale, however the things that can be done in the editing room to make him seem entertaining are endless. Flashy fades, funky music, and lest we forget the clasic dutch tilt camera method.

But if your an avid hobbiest, and enjoy the mere effect of camera tricks and stooges blaine is your man. However if you looking for good material that can actually be done in public, don't waste your breath.

the one thing we can all learn from blaine is marketing. straight out of the houdini hand book, this guy knows how to fill seats and get ratings. The master of promotional stunts, mediocre magician, and all around freaky guy, the one the only DAVID BLAAAAAIIN.

here is a link with some interesting stuff... definitly see karaoke for the deaf.

                    I don't do magic

I was just interested for the entertainment value. I'm the opposite of a magician, a juggler.
                    Where's the link?

I think the sign of a strong performer, is managing not to show any condescending distaste whenever any member of the public asks if you have seen David Blane on the TV.

"How do they do that?" They ask.

"Oh you'd be very disappointed if you knew." I reply. "You would never enjoy magic again."

"Go on, how does he do that? Do you know how it's done."

"Not all of them." (Got to keep the lie alive.) "Some of them, but even though I know, it doesn't mean I could actually do them myself. Theres a big diference between knowing how to swim and actually crossing the channel." (I haven't got researchers and crew and crap running around making this work for me.)

                      Why spoil it.

                              Derren Brown

                              Blaines a hollow showman.
                              This guys interesting.
                              you need realplayer.

you see vids of the tricks and theres explanations as well.
Theres one where he gets everyone to put up their hand in a shopping mall. Shows how zombiefying malls are designed to be. Spooky (and educational)

If you are unfortunate enough to have the ad for 'be cool' on the same page, theres a sound on/off button on the actual ad.

Derren Brown is very very talented.

I met him at some gigs several years back before he was famous.

Now he is famous and quite rightly so.
