Are you under some delusion that you know me? Have we met? Crybabies, I said, and I stand behind it.

yeah ok as long as i can drive our custom mini into many piles of cardboard boxes and we drink coffee that is very strong and makes us strung out, and i can wear one of those new york cop hats. oh and i gotta be able to screech to a halt and arrest somebody.

its tuesday morning and i can't decide which argument to join...one about big tooth filled pussies or the one about the street performers jingle.

During the 1994 season, i performed on a "mud show", i was a "first of May".

I witnessed on several occassions, what is known as "heating- up" our lovely elephant named Lisa.

I must say, that what i saw was VERY DISTURBING and if someone smacked me in the head with an aluminum baseball bat a couple of times a week, I'd slam my head down on them and squish them too.

OK, you can drive. This takes place in Vegas and we infiltrate the criminal underworld by posing as flamboyant magicians named "Wolfgang & Al".

Feld is notorious for being a harsh producer, and Steve Wyne isn't exactly in line for any humanitarian awards either. Nobody wins when a show has an early close. I can see both sides. Being in a large scale production like S&R does skew one's since of value, and no one wants to think that they can be easily replaced by the next big thing. But it does come about sooner or later, and when it happens, one has to be prepared. The performers who worked the show who are now looking for the next gig probably rested on their laurels rather than staying in touch with the business to keep their prospects open. Vegas has finicky tastes. Feast today, famine tomorrow.

Hopefully, Roy's recovery will see him towards a reasonable quality of life. No amount of money or fame can buy your health or peace of mind.

The ramifications of the accident will be interesting to witness. I am not an avid supporter of the extreme animal rights groups, but I do feel that animals such as tigers have no place in show business, and apart from necessary breeding programs, don't belong in captivity. Circus' and magic shows have done a great disservice to many of the zoological efforts to preserve endangered species. There are so many other good artistic choices that can be made other than the cliché tiger-in-a-box or elephant from behind the curtain that I see no reason not to let the use of non-domestic animals in the theater slip into the annals of history. I think that we can move on and allow our humanity to take a more caring stance to see that these animals are not placed into situations that promote accidents like the one with S&R. It's not fair to the performers, audience, and mostly, the animal.

There is an old saying that us non domestic cat lovers have about cats.

"It they were big enough they would eat you."

I constantly astonish my friends who have cats with nasty habits (digging their claws in etc) because cats always like me and I can train them not to scratch me. This is all to do with cat psychology. Cats like it if you are indifferent to them and you aren't scared of them.

Being not scared of them does not make me unaware of what vicious little bastards they are.

I would not go near a bloody tiger.

The best Seigfried and Roy show I ever saw was on MTVs "Celebrity Deathmatch." Luckily it was just a cartoon.

I sympathise with them. I want to know what happened to the poor tiger though.

Feld is currently being sued by various animal rights groups over their treatment on elephants. Personally, I'm not "against" animal acts, but I'm frankly not impressed by 90% of them. Most of them are like - "hey hey! elephant stands in this position! Crack! Hey hey! elephant stands in this position! hey hey!" Booooooring. Unless you are 5 years old. Ringling Bros is,after all, for "children of all ages."

A friend of mine from Ringling Bros. made a VERY interesting point and I'm inclined to agree:

"Circus animals are the ambassadors for those trying to survive in the wild. PETA, WWF, and other animal conservation groups couldn't exist without donations from people who began to appreciate elephants, tigers, and other "exotics" through direct contact in zoos and circuses. "Ban animals from show" and people won't experience them and, eventually, won't care."

The first time I ever saw such animals was in the ringling brothers circus and then later at the zoo. When I was 3 I had no awareness of animal cruelty or the blandness of life in a zoo. I only thought "Bear! Bear funny!"

I worked with the Cirque Frattelini in France and the only animal act we had were horses. I personally brushed them, fed them, and shoveled their shit. I loved them and so did Valerie, their trainer.
Just like love amongst humans, however, love to animals is not always hugs and kisses. We never beat them or transfered aggression towards them. That's what children are for...

But how did the Wallendas come into to this very out dated posting?
Please answer this as it may keep me awake.
