* Bush got a coded message from Sabbam that read "370HSSV-O773H" and after puzzling over it for a couple of days he called in the CIA who were also stumped. No-one could figure it out so it was sent to Bill Clinton who suggested it was upside down.

* The Iraqis claimed to have shot down a British jet and Bush immediately decried it as lies and propaganda.
"We know" he said, "because we shot it down."
