Guess What????!!

I am sooo psyched!!! I just had an audition for a dance company yesterday, and I was the only dancer picked out of all the others to join the show!!! They're a small team of dancers that perform at local corporate events and festivals, so it'll be the perfect way for me to get some heckler experiance as a belly dancer. This is soooo cool I'm finally gonna get some experiance!!!! Anyways, I had to tell somebody.
I'm done gushing now......
Sorry. <img src="graemlins/haha.gif" border="0" alt="[ha ha]" />

Life sucks...I couldn't be in the dance group because of my STUPID day job. I had to quit. I guess I'll just have to be an independant busker.....

StarPixy,
It to bad about the day job. Sometimes that happens. You are located in Miami, I see from your profile. But you didn't put an Email address for contact. I do a good deal of work in that area. Is there any way I can contact you and maybe I can get you some work to make up for your not being able to join the dance group.

ahhhhh! i hate bellydancers! They are now stereotyped in my head as stuck up snobs! Let me explain:
I was going to do a show and had to wait for some damn morris men to finis and i was then on, however, i was settin up for mi act and the damn bellydancers stole mi time slot(f**kers). it ruined the flow in the set up. And then when i finally got the audience intresested and warmed up the bloody bellydancers walked right through my space between the audience and me!
I'm sorry if i offend anyone but that is my view of bellydancers until proven different.
I have had my bitch thank you and goodnite!
P.S starpixy im sure ur lovely! i also am sure that u dont look like these bellydancers(they had more rolls than a bakery)

Thanks, Vantage, that's very sweet of you. Ill get back to you on that when I get my act together(literally).
Hey Ben, no hard feelings. I know exactly what you mean; some times belly dancers think that the whole universe revolves around their little dance. I've had fellow dancers come up to me and get all huffy if I can't identify what's the difference between a cabaret beledi rythym and a tribal beat( that's belly-dancer jargon). I just finished talking to some dancers online. I was asking them how I can get started as a paid performer. I told them that I'd been training for a year. They started preaching to me about how a year's worth of training is not enough for anyone to start and that they were tired of undertrained beginners(like myself)making them look bad! Some Nerve!
Here I am, talking to these people through a computer; they don't even know what I look like, let alone the quality of my performance, and they think they can judge if I'm ready? (Little f**ks)

p.s. I also know what you mean by more rolls than a bakery. I don't care how many years you've trained, SOME PEOPLE JUST SIMPLY SHOULD NOT WEAR MID-DRIFTS!!!!!!!!!

(Ben, I think you've hit a nerve...)

I do medieval recreation and we have a large event every year called the Pennsic War that runs for two weeks. I usually can only make it the second week and by the end of the week I don't want to see another belly-bunny or hear beledi again! I know of several outstanding dancers and they are really nice. The "world revolves around me" beaches are usually the ones who can't dance. All they can do is shake their boobs and wiggle a little.

Don't listen to others, go out and try it. It's the only way you'll know if you're ready.

Every group has "the twats" that bring the rest of the group down and give them a bad reputation. I must admit that the bellydancers that i saw probly belonged to a little club or summit so this was like a big exciting event for them and that they probly all had big heads and thought they was..."it"(sorry for me english bad. Im sorry if i put you in a bad mood !

Just for the record...
Morris dancers have the same attitude over here in ol' blighty.
They've all got well paid day jobs ( usually magistrates or clergymen ) and venture out into the big wide world twice a year to piss everybody off !
Crappy attitude.
Crappy pants.
Stupid bells.

Lets get 'em...
