Nintendo has been re-releasing all the old skool games for the gameboy advanced (and now you can get a huge collection of old skool Atari for the DS).

The Nintendo DS is more powerful than the old Nintendo 64, plus it can play all the GBA games (which were like super nintendo- great games like Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, Metroid Fusion, Zelda, etc) PLUS they are releasing some of the best of Nintendo 64 for the DS. So with a Nintendo DS, you get old skool AND all the new stuff, and it fits in the palm of your hand.

A few words for the Jester

Thanks for the advice and kind words and all that, but fact is was only quoting a line from "The Hippopotamus" by Stephen Fry in the previous post. If you havenīt read it, I can recommend it as itīs quite well crafted. Actually.

Haha. Nice one Mundo. I didn't realise it was Stephen Fry, but I did laugh. And I honestly wasn't trying to teach anybody, I was just expressing my opinion.

I love talking to women, it is very easy to strike up a conversation with a good looking woman, some conversations are much shorter than others. They have a million ways of saying "okay, you made me laugh, now go away I'm not interested." I always get nice one.

A good old fashioned compliment is a great start, but observe and think about it. What has she done to herself that she wanted someone to notice? Find it, then compliment it. Streaks in hair, bright colours, unusual items of clothing, nice jewelry.

I genuinely love any shade of red in hair, natural or not. That is a geat conversation starter. The other secret of course is I am never trying to get into their knickers, and they know very quickly.

What helps though, is I have a very broad spectrum of what is an attractive woman.

            Redheads

Jester wrote, "I genuinely love any shade of red in hair, natural or not."

I couldn't agree with you more. Redheads make my day.

Jester also wrote, "I am never trying to get into their knickers."

I couldn't agree with you less. Never say never.

                  What is it about readheads?

It's not just their color; it's their attitude.

They're always game. They live in the moment.

They conjure, they inspire, they arouse.

They appear devoid of fear. They banish the banal.

They are the muse incarnate. Their gift is brave. Their aim is true.

thanks, pablo. it was taken several years ago in la. someone ganked it out of my old online photo album and made me a cool icon out of it. in the actual photo you can see me and my friend heather (who i used to perform with) in the living room of my old apartment when she came to visit me in la... it looks much cooler this way, i think...

i do like the postcards - they are awesome! good examples of performer media materials. and, i like your photos, too...

i won't be at irish fest - i have a show going up in SF in august. if you email me your address in wisconsin - i'll send you the postcard when we get them printed (in a month or so.)

                          *grin*

I'd rather be red than dead ...

It's not easy having red hair. Everyone makes fun of them, and no one, no government agency, no civil liberties group, no church, no synagogue, raises a whisper of protest. No outraged caring citizenry march in their defense.

They are the laughing stock of all societies. They are teased and ridiculed as a people not to be taken seriously, not to be respected, and why? Because their history is not taught, their story not told, their heroes not honored.

Truth be told they have a long, proud history to celebrate. They go all the way back into history, and even into prehistory. They've been here since the dawn of human evolution.

Little known fact: the earliest traces of redheads were the Neanderclowns. A rough and rugged, semi-evolved group of homo sapiens believed to be the first primates to use seltzer.

Later in the northlands there were stories of Slappo the Celt. The most ruthless buffoon of the North Sea. Some anthropologists believe Slappo had something to do with the construction of Clownhenge. And there are many legends about the noted Viking, Emmett the Red. There are songs and stories that mention that he wore enormous shoes and next to his sword he wore a little horn on his belt.

In the east there was Genghis Clown and Scratchy the Hun. Scratchy would descend on a village with thousands of soldiers crammed into two tiny chariots. And they say that Genghis Clown employed the barbaric use of little dogs wearing pointed hats and fluffy collars.

The Romans had I Clownius as emperor during the period known as "Pies Romana". At the moment of his assassination he has been quoted as uttering, "Et tu, Bozo?"

In Normandy it was Coco the Conqueror.

The name Bozo shows up a lot in history, in many lands. In Africa there was the dreaded tribal chief, Shaka Bozo. The famous explorer, Vasco Nunez de Bozo, and later the Vatican had Pope Bozo the XXIII. And need I mention Ludwig Von Bozo?

Throughout history archaeologists have uncovered many artifacts that support the scientific theories of Red Hair lineage. Remains of ancient hand puppets and punching toys with clown likenesses have been discovered in a wide variety of cultures. Stilts and tiny bicycles have been unearthed from Java to Ireland. As well as temples in Mexico to the clown-god, Seltzo-coatl.

Even literature is dotted with red haired protagonists. The Clown of Monte Cristo, Ali Bo Bo and the 40 thieves, The Red Badge of Custard ...etc.

So the next time someone yells out, "Hey Red!" or "Hey Carrot top!" All you redheads just look that person right in the eye and then bonk 'em with your belly. Because Red Hair has a long, proud, and loud history. So hold your heads up high, and wait for your pie. It's coming.
