Hanging out with Americans I always get hassled because I'm Canadain. I don't mind it in fact I love it. I've gotten pretty good at coming up with little things to retort back to them when they bash Canada---they're just jealous is all. I got stumped though. When they call Canada the 52 State I draw a blank. My childish side shows up and I call them things like "Stupid Yankee"----what the? have any good ideas???

Oh Canada, the 51st state of America, the state you'd like to live in, you know, stuff is cheaper, no handguns, but gee, they're so nice it's a bit hard to keep up isn't it.

Considering some of the histories you can find in libraries if you look perhaps North Mexico (remember Amerigo) might really want to stay away from the Mate (sorry can't do the accent) and other hibernating bears.

You could also consider the "Louisianna Purchase", and what Nth Mexico paid for Alaska, inflation over a couple of hundred years, and then negotiate. Surely Canada is worth more than a few billion and there is not that many of you. Take the $10/20m each (make sure it's in your favorite foreign currency) and leave it to Murdock and the ice-hockey/football/baseball/tennis skiing skating dudes, sponsored by Pepsi or Coke. What would Toronto be worth if you all took your money and ran. They'd pay you again to come back.

One way or another, if you're performing there's a hat line.

PS Think carefully, if you think Australia would be a good place to come with your 10/20m, we seem to be lined up as #53.
