I'm currently working on a project to install a major art installation in the children's wards of my local hospital. It involves 30-40 sculptured "Flying Pigs" that will be suspended from the ceilings of the wards and a set of giant "fantasy" photos of the pigs flying around some of the world's great landmarks.
More details can be found at http://www.chalkcircle.com.au/flyingpig/index.html it's only the begining of the site but at least it has more detail. The project is designed to generate ongoing funds, half of which is for essential equipment and the other half to facilitate fun (esp. performance and art experiences) for the kids stuck there.
What I'm looking for is contributions of limericks and poems, about the concept of "Flying Pigs", that any-one might like to offer to the project.
I begin by offering this Haiku
Flying Pigs eat bad dreams
and NEVER poo.
but they do fart laughing gas.
Remember guys, people hanging out in this place (kids and adults alike) are stressed and the idea is humour and hope. (but kids sure do love good potty humour)
It is a given that we will of course use anything good that gets put up here but at least we'll give you a credit.
