I've known Artis the spoon man since he played with "The Band Of Buzzards",that was Mari Gras in '80 in New Orleans ,that was Pablo,"the wizard" on tub , Reggie on wash board, Crow on fiddle and Rich on guitar. What a great band. We all jammed together at the Artist Cafe, what a cool and hippie bar that was. Me and Artis played one time in Seattle at the Pike Street Market , what a player, we had a huge crowd and made a big hat!I hear his health is not good. Any one Know?

I'm pretty sure Elton John busked for several years on the London underground in his early days!

I was doing an improvised show in Key West with different costume than normal. After the show, I realized I had forgotten to return the watch. Instead of a hat speech, I enjoined the remaining crowd to find the woman who had been such a nice volunteer. We did finally locate her in the parking lot leaving Mallory Square. She thought she had left her watch at home, and wasn't at all concerned. Not sure, but that may have been my last street show.
