I just need to paint the elephant's legs to match his towel body.
His trunk is filled with marbles.
For some reason I didn't intend for the puppets to completely match my drawings because my drawings were design very flat - almost leaning on the side of cubist. But Zimmer insisted it'd be great and hilarious to build it all the same and I'm glad we went in that direction.
The elephant's face is entirely on one side of his head and his legs are in-line like the mouse's. These legs, however, are a little bit off-set, like zig-zagging -- again, Nutbar's brilliant idea. (I'm not sure anyone cares about these details but we two.)
Dried wood glue looks just like sickly eye crusties.
...I'm pretty sure that elephant wants to kill me.

Your ticket to see the film will only cost you $10,000 and will get you a credit as "Executive Co-Producer".
I finish the puppets and props/sets from now until April, when Zimmer comes back to film with me.
Then I composite and edit until my eyeballs fall out and hopefully finish this baby sometime in the summer.
Then, if I have no grants (waiting on word for that) it's fully up to me to apply to every single film festival I can find and afford.
It's all about the festivals, baby.
...I'll be sure to make a bazillion DVD's too.
Hope I don't crap this thing up.
(oh, and somewhere in there I might have to go find Ewen in Hawaii to rerecord our voice overs... sucks being me, eh? being FORCED to go to Hawaii??)

I have yet to finish the bed, but the matress is pretty sweet, if I do say so (and I do).
Lee was uncomfortable with the nipples I keep insisting on detailing on my characters, so I considered giving Lurk pasties (with tassels)... but then I'd have to do it to all the characters for consistency, so I opted against it.
I stabbed myself pretty badly while sewing that blanket and made a point of leaving my blood drips and shmears all over it, for effect. I also spilled some coffee on it. Now it's really a piece of me.
