    Smilies

Smilies, Good Lord, Jim! What ever got into you but if any-one does clip on the smilies legend, the back button is not working and they can't return to the posting page.

    Really, Jim, smilies???????

    Peter,

THey came with the system. I bought the thing in it's entirety. Smilies are included. I had no choice. I can turn them off if they get out of hand, but I'm kind of curious to see who uses them.

I've noticed women generally use them way more than men so we'll see if there are ever ANY on these boards.

BTW, clicking on the smilies legend link in the message composition page SHOULD open a new window. Just close the window to get back to where you were. This actually happens on most of the links and icons you click here.

That was dumb! I meant to writ something silly and mindless but got side-tracked by the way the site works.
I was wondering how Trevor is coping with the boards being down. He must have at least three or four more hours a day to work on his festival, anyway.

Trevor is emailing me the posts that he would have posted.... Just kidding

I'm trying the site with Internet Explorer for the first time and it doesn't always open a new browser window when it should.

Netscape is more stable for me.

Brady is going to have a ball with the smilies. I guarantee it.

Hi Jim, just logged on too. Looking good, Peter finds it a bit confusing but what do you expect.
I was thinking about Trevor and his sudden cyber addiction, it reminded me of the similarities between computer dealers and drug dealers. I mean they both call their clients users and the primary objective is to get connected.
Most likely, the first one is free, go ahead download a trial version.
Both professions shroud their activities with codes and jargon.
In drug dealing it's your source, speed, LSD, stash and the pigs.
In computer sales it's your source, speed, RAM, back-side cache and Microsoft.
Computer salesmen identify their market with the 15-30 age group and hang out with marketers, bankers and lawyers.
Drug dealers prey on 15-30 year olds and hang out with pimps, thieves and lowlifes.
A lot of old hippies are making a lot of money selling computers.
A lot of old hippies are making a lot of money selling drugs.
A lot of teenagers are making a lot of money selling computers and a lot of teenagers are making a lot of money selling drugs.
Both always have a new, more potent, faster acting product everytime you see them and their clients always love their stuff when it works and want kill them when it doesn't. Both industries are plagued by viruses that are passed from user to user and totally stuff up your system. Rodents seem to proliferate, you need a mouse to access your computer and you need a rat to access your heroin.
You can take some comfort in the knowledge that a quick fix, although expensive is only a phone call away.

            Hey Professor,

That could have been a NEW topic.

There were no smilies in it.

              Good night.

It's midnight and I've been logged into my server for 5 hours 55 minutes.

And I have a gig in ten hours. I keep forgetting I have a day job.

              Talk to you all tomorrow...

Wow. I can hardly fathom what will happen when Trevor Rooney gets his hands on this new board. Quite frankly I'm afraid. I expect to see him posting in the uncensored drivel category.

Jim, I really think Trevor should have a forum soley dedicated to his project. The way I see it, it could be a win, win situation.
Did I really do that, oh shit, I can't believe I even tried that fuckin' thing. Never again, I swear
