    Street Music Compilation: Scot

Hey everyone, give me contact info of your favourite street musicians. My friend is working on a street musician compilation tape. It would be great to get a big variety.

Maybe Willow, One String Guitar, NY Subway DJ, Brian Hargiss, Jim's Friend, etc.

Big mix with the common thread of the street. This is a paying gig.

There are a couple of rather unique acts in Melb. who could probably send you some tracks (digitally) to consider but it'll take a week or so to catch up with them and sort it. Do you have a deadline?

Maybe you could get a street (pavement) artist to do the artwork for the CD.
My partner Bev Isaac has a wonderful life-size painting of (sadly) the late "Delta Dave", a very much-loved but deeply troubled Melb. street muso, complete with his backing band of puppet teddy bears. Bev busked as she drew the piece of Dave busking across the road on Swanston St.
There are several p.artists that would love to be involved.
Bev (Aust) at http://www.chalkcircle.com.au/ , Ulla Taylor through the same address, Chalkmaster Dave (Can) at http://www.geocities.com/chalk_master_dave/ , Debbie Robinson (UK) who you can find on the pages here but I don't think has a website and Gary Palmer (US) at http://www.urbancanvas.com/

Will put the other guys in touch with you as soon as I can

The most legendary street musician is my good friend Artis the Spoonman. Check out http://www.artisthespoonman.com

Pete O`Connell has a great busking song called "Drunks and Police"
          www.onemanband.net

I`ve written a song about our craft called "No Mad Soul"www.cdbaby.com
          www.dantheonemanband.com

Tomko Lamb plays the hammered dulcimer and has some good songs that would be good for a compilation. I`m not sure what his website is.

Are you looking for songs about busking? Or just songs from people who busk?

Jesus Presley from Portland, OR. Plays at Saturday MArket. Total nutter. Don't know how to find him, maybe he has a website, or try the Church of Elvis. I think the crazy woman who runs it dated him. A total legend.

                Hey, Scott --
There are some great public domain tracks on my CD "A Touch of Glass," and a couple of original pieces.

No Street Music compilation would be complete without
                    it's main man..

                    Rory McLeod!

Other personal favourites are Carlos Vamos from Amsterdam,
Trent of Wunjo fame from Fremantle, W.A. Australia and the
now sadly gone Bean of UK origin.

Best One-Man-Bands Pete & Andrea - you rock!
