The Laugh Across America / World Comedy Festival cities and dates are posted below. This is NOT (repeat: NOT) the "official" press release. I am telling you guys first because I know everyone has been asking about it.
The official press release is May 15.
The website is www.laughacrossamerica.com
Laugh Across America Contest Itinerary (as of 4-19-02)
LA - May 30 - June 2
Phoenix - June 6-9
Dallas - June 13-16
Atlanta - June 20-23
NY - June 27-30
Chicago - July 11-14
Minneapolis - July 18-21
Denver - July 25-28
Seattle - Aug 1-4
San Francisco - Aug 8-11
World Comedy Festival Conference, Las Vegas Sept 5-8
These locations are where you can audition/participate in the contest. There are 7 catagories, at least one of which is variety-comedy. (you guys).
Please bookmark their website and keep going back for information, and/or REGISTER on their website. I'll bet they have email notifications going out when it's necessary.
We MAY be visiting cities in-between to pass out literature BUT not for auditions. If your city is not on the list, (for instance, Boston), you can still attempt to go to NYC very easily. Just road-trip. . . .
