** NEED TWO PEOPLE FOR GOOD-PAYING TOURING ACT **

    --------------------------------------------------
    FOR A TRAVELLING STREET-PERFORMANCE (non-music) SHOW:
I need a few performers around the USA with theater, circus, or street-performing skills, for a nationally touring act to start this fall. Age 18-30. Good pay. Will be almost full-time, especially in the Spring. One person that can make huge balloon sculptures, with an accompanying skill like juggling, magic, or music. One body-language person to be a funny annoying mime (a cross between Charlie Chaplin and Jim Carrey.) Must have proven experience in this kind of performing.
    ----------------------------------------------------

Here's the deal. It's hard to explain.

The group is a duo I invented called the PROFESSIONAL PESTS. They are hired by college campuses to rove around for 3 hours bugging students. It's one guy making balloons for everyone, being the "nice" pest. (Not really a pest at all.) Then one guy in a black lycra "shadow" that you can't see inside, running around as a strange, unnerving, mischevious, hilarious pest. As I said above, it needs almost-mime skills because the shadow is silent and has to be hilarious with body-language alone. (Hence: Chaplin and Jim Carrey.)

If it sounds like you're into it, I'll send you the video that will explain more.

    THE SITUATION:

For a few years, the Professional Pests were me (in the Shadow) and my friend Ray. We got hired by 300 colleges in the northeast and made a ton of money. (About $300 per person per show.)

It's an amazing gig, cuz you're actually hired to be a Pest, by definition! Walk around and bug people (in the name of making them laugh.) It's a blast. Often you crack yourself up more than anything.

But I got tired of the college scene, and moved to Portland, Oregon.

Now, just for a lark, I submitted the Professional Pests video to the NACA (Campus Activities) conferences this summer - AND ALL OF THEM PICKED IT! A total sweep. Like winning 12 Oscars or something.

Which means the Professional Pests are going to do 9 showcases around the country, (some of them simultaneous) and probably get 200 bookings or so this year.

It's time to franchise, and that's where you come in.

I want to have two or three groups of Professional Pests around the country. Someone in the Northeast. Someone mid-west. Someone West Coast. And you'll be booked pretty regularly. Not solid like "5 days a week on tour" but pretty steady.

It involves lots of travel, which will be paid for. And your take-home pay for each 3-hour show will be $300 (per person), no matter what. (Even if they talk me down, and I don't make as much per show, you can always count on a steady $300 per person per gig.)

That's it! They're a blast. Lots of flirting. Lots of hotels. Lots of being the court jester in a crowd.

    IF YOU'RE UP FOR IT:

Email me at mailto:jobs@hitmedia.comjobs@hitmedia.com</A>, with the subject header "Interested in PROFESSIONAL PESTS" - and some more info about your background and current situation.

If you really really think this is something you could totally throw yourself into and do well, let me know your mailing address and I'll send you a video. We'll talk by phone after that. Then we'll need to meet somewhere to train you.

The showcases start in October. The gigs will be November through late May. (College season.)

    Thanks!
