    Toronto Buskers! Call for Auditions at the Harbourfront Centre

    Harbourfront Centre is looking for NON-AMPLIFIED specialty acts, jugglers, musicians, mimes and other performers to be on-site street performers during our summer season. Busker season runs from May 20th -Oct 14th, 2014.

    Located on Toronto's bustling waterfront, Harbourfront Centre's weekly Summer Festivals attract thousands of visitors annually. This year we are celebrating our 40th anniversary--come celebrate with us!

    Street performers are allowed to perform on Harbourfront's property by LICENSE ONLY. Licenses can be obtained through our audition process.

    Licensing fees

    · Single Performers: $45.00
    · Duo Performers: $60.00
    · Trio Performers: $85.00
    · Quartet Performers: $115.00
    · Quintet Performers: $135.00
    · Merchandise Fee (if applicable): $45.00

    Audition details:

    Dates: Tuesday, May 6-7th 2014. From 10am-5pm
    Length: Maximum of 7 minutes per individual / group
    Location: Harbourfront Centre's Studio Theatre, 235 Queens Quay West, Toronto, ON, M5J 2G8

    Auditions are scheduled on a first come first served basis. We will be accepting calls until Friday, April 25th at 5:00pm.

    ***Please be reminded*** We are unable to accept any acts which require AMPLIFICATION of any kind.

    Sadly, though this place which has potential, it's crap for any new performers.

    I came to Toronto about 4 years ago and gave this a go. The whole thing was/is so slanted against any performers (those actually doing a show and passing the hat) that I never bothered to apply again.
