Melbourne's Moomba Festival is Looking for Buskers...
Thinking of busking this winter in Australia? I highly recommend performing at this festival in March. I performed there last year and make insane amounts of money... The city of Melbourne busking co-ordinator just sent this to me:

1. Melbourne's largest outdoor community festival, Moomba, is now
calling for buskers (and their hats) to be a part of the event when it
returns to the city centre, Birrarung Marr and Alexandra Gardens from
Friday 9 to Monday 12 March 2012.
If you're a musician, living statue, performance artist, poet, or just
think you've got what it takes to entertain the public - we want to hear
from you.
This is a brilliant opportunity for buskers to get their music heard and
for street theatre artists to showcase their work in an environment
where traditionally busking is has not been permitted. Moomba is
offering four exclusive busking locations throughout Alexandra Gardens
and Birrarung Marr where buskers will have the opportunity to entertain,
shock and delight the passing crowd, who will hopefully dig deep in
appreciation.
* This is straight-up busking (no production will be provided)
* Artists are encouraged to put out tip jars or hats
* Over 1,000,000 people expected in attendance over the Moomba
Festival weekend
* Act/performer name will be mentioned on www.moomba.com.au

In return, Moomba Festival will offer:
* Rotation of four exclusive busking locations
* Integrate the buskers program into the festival management and
artist services
* Secure onsite storage
* Site security including Police presence
* First Aid
* Site management and infrastructure
* Traffic and pedestrian management
* Event signage
