Working in Singapore
Hi
Anyone answering ads about work in Singapore should be made aware of a couple of points. I have just completed three months of corporate gigs for an agent and had assumed that he had taken care of all working details. This was part of the deal.. my fee was to be after tax etc.
BUT .. he didn't and they don't! I was working illegally and when he took my passport in to have my visa renewed each month I discovered he had me down in another occupation. You really don't want to piss Singapore Immigration off or they will stop you entering the country in the future. Check whether your agent is paying tax because the Singapore Tax department will come after YOU for monies not paid .. sometimes years later as one sorry Canadian found out!
