    surfers

hey just wondering if anyone is doing the surfers busking comp
I am confused about the guidlines of not soliciting for money

Buskers may receive voluntary monetary appreciation from the audience for their performance but are not to solicit funds in anyway.

    23.6 Monetary Appreciation
The voluntary giving of money from the audience in appreciation of a performance/act, where the giving on money is not mandatory, implied or requested.

    23.9 Soliciting of funds
The act of asking, begging, seeking or requesting money or goods from members of the public.
    ….seeking?……

    any views anyone?

they say that in their normal guidelines too, I wouldn't worry about it.

Obviously it favors the telepathic. Tell your audience that your thinking of a number, a number between one and a hundred.

Who's organising it? Give me their name so I may ridicule them soundly. I will use my literary cattle-prod to leave steaming blue bruises on their ego for all to see and they shall rue the day they ever brought their crippled, twisted self imploding excuse for an event management and public relations skillset into the public domain.

I will attempt to castrate them far more successfully and with far more flair than they are attempting to castrate the vehicles they presume to use to fuel their middle management vocational tragedies.

A name, nick, give me a fucking name so I can put a face on this putrid monster and slay it.

They do the same if you are one of those rare people who go and get a license to work in Copenhagen also. I had to after getting a full page spread in the sunday paper about my shows outside the round tower. Cops arrested me and fined me 400 on the monday following and so I went through the hoops to get the paperwork.

Just before the cop at the station, after I'd gone one place for one piece of paper and another for a second before presenting those for the actual permit, just before he released the permit. He was holding it and I was holding it, he said, "You realise you cannot have an object on the ground nor speak or suggest in any way you want money and this permit merely permits you to perform for the publics good in one specific place, [not the round tower, about 50 meters away at a useless place] for no more than 30 minutes at a time?

I said "yes" and he smirked and let go.

So I'm invested in this little barney and my powder's dry.

Victor Rubliar just won that one, so maybe he'll make a post about it.
